New Products at Rifuzl, February, March, and April 2021

Time flies, and we’ve stocked up on so many Rifuzl products again that it’s time for another look at all the new arrivals?️‍♀️.

Groceries

I’d go so far as to say that at Rifuzl, you can get everything you absolutely need to stock your shelves well. Over the past few months, though, Manca has been on a mission to find items that aren’t quite as essential, but are really nice to have because they solve those “I’d like something, but I don’t know exactly what” dilemmas ?.

Sometimes , for example , isn’t just one really, really good dried pear enough ? The Viljamovke pears from the Erjavec farm are naturally dried, unsulphured, and free of any additives. If you want more than one, you’re in luck—they’re available in bulk!

Erika from Fermentarnica has enriched our selection with Chizo vegan cream cheese, which you can, for example, spread on toast or toss on a pizza. The cheese is made from fermented cashews, coconut oil, yeast flakes, and salt. It’s great because it contains significantly more protein than most vegan cheeses, and I like it even more because it comes in two flavors: classic and sun-dried tomato.

But heads up! Chizota isn’t part of the regular lineup— you have to order it through Rifuzla’s order form.

If you prefer spaghetti that’s a little more filling, then you’ve probably already tried Gabaroni organic spelt spaghetti, which is made with half whole-grain and half regular organic spelt flour. Not only does the whole-grain version have a richer flavor compared to regular spaghetti, but it also has 30% more protein and 80% more dietary fiber (hey, you know I’m not kidding when I use percentages, right?‍?).

You can never have enough sweets, so we’ve made room in the display case for another of Eva’s creations (Vegan Cake Shop): Crème Brûlée with pistachios.

Finally, I’d like to mention that our wine collection has grown again—there are now so many bottles that Primož asked Marcelo to move a few to the bottom shelf because he was terrified they’d all come crashing down from the walls ?. You already praised the Wild Rose organic wine from the Šoster organic farm at Rifuzl’s open house, and now you can find it in our regular selection alongside Chardonnay and Sauvignon, and let’s not forget Panter and Rebula from the Kumar estate.

Other News

First, an important announcement?! The Amon & Anis brand isn’t going anywhere, because Primož won’t let it?! (Well, also because Nadja and Žiga have kindly taken it over.) So you can rest easy—the deodorants, sunscreens, shaving soap, and tea tree oil remain exactly as we’re used to them. There’s also a mosquito repellent spray available that you can pour into your own bottle— even a very small one will last you quite a while.

If, by any chance, you’re looking for one that doesn’t contain baking soda, try the Nova Sensitive deodorant by Madres. It’s even more creamy than Neroli and is suitable for sensitive skin.

Once you’ve picked your favorite deodorant, you can roll up your sleeves and get to work washing the dishes with an Eco Living sponge. Everyone will admit you’re really cool because you use a sponge made from natural materials that breaks down right in your home compost.

Then they’ll be totally blown away when they see that after a hard day’s work, you treated yourself to some kombucha—and used a ceramic straw instead of a plastic one - Tina from CMRX Studio has made it so you can buy them individually and choose between black, white, or blue.

We’re removing these from our selection

Well, that’s how it goes. If we want to add something, we have to remove something else to make room on the shelves, right? You won’t find the following at Rifuzl anymore:

• Altburger;
• organic sun-dried tomatoes in oil (Biogast);
• those delicious jams (Eko kmetija Potočnik-Poprask);
• peanut butter with hazelnuts and cocoa (Organa);
• the wooden toothbrush and toothpaste holder (Thinktura);
• orange-flavored toothpaste tablets (Georganics);

Conclusion

To end this post on a positive note, I dug up a photo from Rifuz’s gallery featuring the biggest smiles ?. This one is from Rifuz’s most recent open house, and I can’t wait for a carefree summer to finally begin ?.
