A Slovenian product
Natural Materials
At Rifuzl, you’ll find classic, white Palomin 3-ply toilet paper (150 sheets), but its packaging is anything but classic. You can buy it by the piece—either as a single roll or as a pack of 24 rolls packed in returnable cardboard packaging! That’s right—no unnecessary plastic packaging, and you can even bring the box back for reuse. The toilet paper is unscented, soft, and absorbent. It’s packaged by Paloma PIS, a company that employs people with disabilities. With every purchase, you’re also helping to preserve jobs for people who face challenges in finding employment.
GOOD FOR ME
The toilet paper contains no added fragrances and is made from a natural material— cellulose. That’s why it’s soft, absorbent, and gentle on the skin.
GOOD FOR THE PLANET
Production and packaging take place in Slovenia, so the toilet paper doesn’t have to travel far to reach Rifuzl. It’s also packaged in recyclable cardboard packaging. As a result, it’s fully biodegradable—from the paper made of natural materials to the cardboard tube inside and the box in which it’s packaged. In addition, Paloma holds FSC and PEFC certifications, which represent environmentally friendly and socially responsible forest management. Are you wondering how it can be packaged in cardboard here, even though you find it in plastic packaging at the store? Read more about it below.
Fun Fact
Are you still unsure whether the toilet paper rolls are truly free of plastic packaging (and not just repackaged from plastic to cardboard)? Paloma’s production process is designed in such a way that it doesn’t allow for major changes to the production line, but they’ve adapted it to the extent that a certain number of rolls are diverted before the packaging line into a large container, from which Paloma PIS employees then repackage the rolls into cardboard packaging. Products that the machine on the line did not package correctly or that have some other type of damage to the packaging are also used in this way. This does not mean that the rolls themselves are defective, but rather that their packaging is defective.
