Product Description

The Šamić family lives in Opuzen, in the fertile valley of the Neretva River. They run their farm sustainably and strive for the most natural methods possible when growing fruit, largely avoiding the use of chemicals. Their citrus fruits are sprayed only immediately after flowering, and after harvesting, they are not waxed or fumigated, so the peel is edible.

Mandarins are available from October through January. The Zorana variety begins to ripen in late September or early October, while the Čahara variety is ready to eat in October and November. In December, it’s time for Kawano Wase “Russian” mandarins, while the later-ripening Unshiu and Saigon varieties extend the fresh mandarin season all the way through the end of January. This way, you can enjoy fresh, juicy fruit throughout the fall and winter.
