These cookies are made from okara, also known as soy pulp or soy渣, which is a byproduct of the production of soy milk or soy products such as tofu or tempeh. Okara is a byproduct of the soy milk production process, which involves softening, grinding, and soaking soybeans in water.

Fržek is a brand of Slovenian, natural, vegan, and zero-waste food products. The principles it follows are “natural,” “local,” and “healthy,” because the brand knows that a good product can only be made with good ingredients. The “natural” principle is reflected in the organic cultivation of ingredients; “locally sourced” means that the ingredients have traveled as little as possible to reach Fržek’s kitchen; and the “healthy” principle is reflected in two aspects: health for people and health for the environment.
