Elderflower syrup is a beverage made from elderflowers. It’s a wonderful, refreshing classic that brings back memories of our youth. The syrup has a mild, floral flavor that is refreshing and aromatic. It is traditionally used as an addition to water or lemonade, but it can also be used as a sweetener for teas, cocktails, or desserts.

Product Description

Elderflower syrup is made from freshly picked flowers, with less sugar* added than would be used in the “traditional” method.

Source of the elderflowers: hillsides and hedgerows throughout the lower Vipava Valley.

In addition to its flavor, elderflower syrup is also popular for its medicinal properties, as elderflowers contain vitamins, antioxidants, and have anti-inflammatory properties. Elderflowers and berries have been used for medicinal purposes since time immemorial. Elderflower tea helps with respiratory problems. Elderflowers have a mild laxative effect, so they have a beneficial effect on the urinary tract.

Elderflower syrup is an ingredient in many cocktails. Adding the syrup to drinks imparts a touch of freshness and an exquisite floral aroma.
