MIMY, the foundation for quick and easy preparation of delicious homemade almond milk. It’s a mix made from just three ingredients: the finest peeled, dry-roasted Italian almonds, a little banana flour, and a pinch of salt.

You can make as much of the drink as you need at any given time. This way, you’ll avoid the drink going bad before you can finish it.

Product Description

50 g of almond base is enough to make 1 l of almond beverage. That means a 200 g package will be enough for 4 liters of almond drink, and a 400 g package for as much as 8 liters! MIMY is also a great solution for on the go, since you can make the drink anywhere on the go and in the quantities you need at that moment, so there’s no worry that store-bought drinks will go bad because you can’t keep them refrigerated. If you’re on the go without a hand blender or regular blender, you can easily prepare the drink in a “shaker” with a ball or mesh strainer, or using a portable milk frother.

Almond base is also interesting from a waste perspective. From now on, you can easily make any amount of almond drink you want—exactly as much as you need—and avoid food waste. The most obvious source of waste with plant-based beverages is Tetra Paks—with one glass of Mima’s almond base, you avoid at least 8 Tetra Paks of plant-based beverage. Furthermore, there’s no waste in the production of the almond base; the almonds are ground entirely. In contrast, with traditional plant-based beverages, manufacturers often discard the pulp that results from straining the beverage.

Storage

Store the almond base at a temperature of up to 25 °C (refrigeration is not necessary). Stir it well before each use so that the oily and thick layers recombine.

Once prepared, the almond drink can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Shake the bottle before each use.

Instructions

Before use, stir the contents of the jar to recombine the oily and thick layers. For 0.5 L of almond drink, add two large tablespoons of the almond mixture to 0.5 L of water and mix—with a whisk, a hand blender, or, best of all, in a blender. If you want more or less of the drink, increase or decrease the amounts proportionally. If you prefer a creamier drink, simply add more paste; conversely, for a milder drink, you can add less paste. If you’d like a sweeter drink, you can add a date or another sweetener of your choice. You can also experiment with adding cocoa or spices (cinnamon, cardamom, etc.).

You can enjoy the drink right away or store it in the refrigerator, where it will stay fresh for up to 3 days.
