Fržek is a Slovenian brand that produces natural, vegan, and zero-waste food products made from beans (and now other legumes as well). The name Fržek comes from beans, as does their cute logo in the shape of a bean; it was with this logo that they began their journey and created their first products—spreads.

Why beans? Because they’re nutritious (a good source of protein, fiber, and complex carbohydrates with a low glycemic index), they have a mild flavor, making it easy to combine and create a variety of tastes; they thrive in Slovenia, allowing for local sourcing; and, last but not least, they have an excellent spreadable texture, perfect for spreads.
